Out with the Old - In with the new

After many years faithful service, Dunalastair says goodbye to one of its most favourite aspects - our conservatory.

But fear not from the rubble will rise our new conservatory. A brand spanking new Salisbury Conservatory, where the quality of detail design, standard of manufacture and aesthetic appeal have won awards and praise from all quarters.

Dunalastair is committed to upgrading its facilities to give you the best hospitality experience in rural Perthshire and this project is a big move in the right direction. Stunning in conception and designed to be a relaxing space where patrons and guests can unwind and further enjoy all that Dunalastair has to offer.

As if you needed another reason to visit, or indeed revisit, Dunalastair - our new conservatory will only further enhance your enjoyment.

Dunalastair: Distinctive & Desired

The Secret is now out...

Stunning layers of highland loch side, forest and mountain scenery surround Dunalastair and the natural scenery has been the inspiration to our new refurbishment.

Dunalastair has never been the place to turn down an opportunity and so as we have refurbished we have also upgraded. Now some Malt rooms boast spa Jacuzzis, whilst Blends now have drenching power showers.

The earth tones used in the new ground floor echo the surrounding woodlands and the amber the golden hues of Malt whisky. Comfort is never far from our minds and so the traditional feel of the bedroom’s soft furnishings have been carefully selected from heraldic tapestries, burgundy suede, oxblood leather and sheepskin – perfect for spending quality time in peace and tranquility.

On the hotel’s first floor the expression of heather as our accent colour comes to the fore. Sparkling white bathrooms have heather hued glass inlays and the oak leafed sateen bed throws make you want to throw yourself into our bed for the rest of your life. The ongoing refurbishment is scheduled for completion by the beginning of 2007, then Dunalastair will not only be the ‘warm heart of the Highlands’, it will be one of the most distinctive and desired hotels in Scotland.

Dunalastair: You are in Eden

In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve fell in love and were rather naughty in consuming the forbidden apple of knowledge. Years later, Dunalastair, set in the idyllic Paradise of the Perthshire Highlands, used this knowledge and updated the concept of tasting the forbidden by premiering for 2007 its Romantic Rendezvous Eden Break.

Who else but Dunalastair can be so divinely sinful to entice and tease you with chocolates filled with guava, passion fruit & figs, chilled pink champagne awaiting by a jacuzzi spa and the passionate pleasure of Arran Aromatics in lavender, honeysuckle, and exotic pepper.
The warmth of Dunalastair’s welcome is equally matched by its Scottish Baronial style and heritage, and the renowned cuisine is both delicious and locally sourced. Each moment can become a memory to treasure, so pleasure the one you love with an escape to Paradise in the retreat known as Dunalastair, on one of its heavenly Romantic Rendezvous of Eden Breaks.

This break has limited exclusive availability so reserve today and without delay. We would hate for you to be disappointed.

Dunalastair Activity Centre

www.activityscotland.com

Welcome to Scotland’s newest activity centre – Dunalastair Activity Centre in the heart of stunning Highland Perthshire in Scotland. Right on site here at Dunalastair Hotel.

Perthshire is the Outdoor Activity Centre of Scotland, and Dunalastair is now the Outdoor Activity Centre of Highland Perthshire. A unique corporate events venue with a real difference – as well as a sensational centre for leisure days, activity breaks and all sorts of special occasions, celebrations and parties.

You can now enjoy action packed year round activities and adventure sports and pursuits, indoor and outdoor, of the very highest order here. We like to think of ourselves as a ‘Centre of Excellence’. Our adventure activity zones combine outdoor field space with purpose-built indoor activity areas, giving unrivalled facilities for year-round visitors. From high-adrenaline ‘thrillers’, such as high ropes courses, canyoning or abseiling, to team building favourites such as team challenge and treasure hunts, to highly skilled target pursuits like laser clays and archery - there will always be an activity lined up for your next session, whatever the weather.

NEW for 2007

About to open Easter 2007 is our fabulous new courtyard bar, brasserie, barbeque and coffee shop.

The restaurant seats up to 75 people and serves a superb range of Scottish cuisine. Accompanied by a super selection of wines and beers from all over the world, with a fully stocked country pub adjoining, brimming with great local malts. Eat around the open fire in our authentic stone walled country pub, or on our fantastic al fresco restaurant deck. Savour the very best of Scottish flavours.

We offer full catering facilities. Breakfast, lunches, light bites and evening meals are available, and packed lunches can also be supplied by pre arrangement. Our lido deck can be fully covered in more inclement weather, and is fully heated, lit - and midge proof too!!! Corporate and leisure groups are most welcome although pre-booking is essential.

With a superb selection of daily hot options, home made soups, salads and accompaniments, and grills fresh from our barbeque, and an extensive selection of delicious light bites and freshly brewed teas and coffees, its the obvious choice for your ‘comfort break from your activity break’.

A superb children's playground, with state of the art climbing frame and tower complex, and bouncy castle, allows parents to enjoy our hospitality as they watch their children play, and for those thrill seekers among you you'll always be glad of a light refreshment once you finish your exhilirating activity session.
