Come Horse Riding and Trekking in Beautiful Perthshire!
We have great horse riding all round about us, in dramatic Highland Perthshire scenery, on unspoiled native ponies – for all ages and abilities. We partner with Taymouth Stables, only 25 minutes away, close to the stunning shores and scenery of Loch Tay and Kenmore. With professional and enthusiastic staff providing sensational horse riding in Scotland on a myriad of stunning forest tracks amidst spectacular mountain and loch views.
Before each ride there is a ten minute assessment in the outdoor arena to help you get up and ready to go. We do a brief assessment of each rider to make sure you are going to be comfortable. For hacks we must also assess riders to make sure they are competent enough for the paces. This is brief and our friendly staff are here to help.
1hr trek for beginners groups of up to 4
This takes you on a scenic route up Drummond hill to the spectacular black rock view point. The one hour trek for beginners consists of walking only. Our gentle giants (shires) and native ponies have been trained specifically to give you a safe and very enjoyable ride.
1hr hack for experienced riders
We can currently only take groups of 3. This ride has a faster pace and is for the more experienced rider. Provided every one is comfortable we will have a few trots on the ride and possibly a canter.
Each of these rides can be arranged with morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea at the Black Rock view point. This will add and extra 40 minutes to the ride.
2 hour treks are also available with morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea.
