WatersportsCome and experience the exhilarating white water rafting on one of Scotland's most exciting stretches of river. Ideal for fun weekends, the serious water sports enthusiast, or for a special group event, rafting in Perthshire is a unique. Prices start at just £35 per person per session.

This half day trip is about six miles in the distance, and starts from the old market town of Aberfeldy. Here the river winds lazily along the Tay valley, through rolling hills and stunning scenery. This is an area with a diverse wildlife which is best seen from the river. The paddle crew has ample opportunity to practice their newly learnt rafting skills before the river drops away and creates a challenging rapids that flow down to Grandtully.

Rapids such as 'Zoom Flume' and 'The Washing Machine' keep people on their toes. Grandtully rapid is where the trip ends. This is the longest rapid on the river and provides one or two surprises for the unwary rafter! A conveniently sited hostelry makes for a nice way to end the day.

Kenmore to Grandtully

From Autumn through to early summer, this is the trip that has proven to be as popular as the River Orchy. We cover some twelve miles of the upper Tay starting at the village of Kenmore. This is the entrance to the river from Loch Tay, one of Scotland 's longest lochs. Easy rapids soon appear and gives the paddle crews a taste of things to come further down the river. White Water rapids give way to farmland but with rugged mountains like Ben Lawers and Schiehallion as a backdrop. We break for lunch on the riverbank near Aberfeldy before continuing our White Water Rafting before continuing downstream to the rapids which takes us to Grandtully.
